- 1 cup 6 oz white chocolate chips
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 6-8 drops green food coloring gel preferred
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Pinch of salt
- Whipped cream for topping
- Red heart sprinkles or candies for garnish
- Mini marshmallows optional
- Red and green sprinkles optional
In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and heavy cream. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until hot but not boiling (about 5 minutes).
Reduce heat to low and add the white chocolate chips. Whisk continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth (about 3 minutes).
Stir in the vanilla extract, sugar, and pinch of salt. Adjust sweetness to taste.
Add green food coloring a few drops at a time, stirring well after each addition until you reach the perfect Grinch green shade.
Pour into mugs, leaving room for toppings.
Top each mug with whipped cream, red heart sprinkles or candies, and optional mini marshmallows or festive sprinkles.
