Ingredients

  • 12 oz 340g high-quality dark or milk chocolate (your choice)
  • 2 cups hot cocoa prepared
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Mini marshmallows optional, for topping
  • Chocolate chips crushed candy canes, or sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  • Melt the Chocolate: Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water or in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until fully melted.
  • Prepare the Molds: Lightly grease your molds or line with parchment paper to make removing the cups easier. For best results, use silicone molds or plastic molds shaped like cups.
  • Coat the Molds: Using a spoon or a pastry brush, coat the inside of each mold with melted chocolate, ensuring an even layer. Let it harden in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
  • Add Layers: Repeat the process, adding 1-2 more layers of chocolate until the shells are sturdy enough to hold the hot cocoa. Allow the layers to set in between.
  • Fill the Cups: Once your chocolate shells are set and hardened, carefully remove them from the molds. Fill each chocolate cup with prepared hot cocoa.
  • Top and Serve: Add whipped cream, mini marshmallows, sprinkles, or any other toppings you desire. Serve immediately or package them up for a fun gift! Enjoy!
